Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor applies the 5 rules for women to grow up

I take it one day at a time. Every day is a journey and every day is a learning experience with your little one and your work. Every day I learn something new, I am a first time mother and I always tell myself that it is OK even if I did something wrong. I will learn from my fall and from all my mistakes. I don't have a blueprint for what's going to happen in my life or career, added Kapoor Khan. His game plan is superbly simple.

But I know I will not sacrifice a lot of time for Taimur. I am happy to make only one or two films in a year. I will try to select the best film that is offered to me. That's all there is to it, said Kapoor Khan.

Rule # 1: Do not take success or failure seriously

People have always clubbed actors like this narcissistic group. I took both success and failure in the same breath. I'm too practical not to do this. If you see my decisions and my career choices in my path, you will understand the practicality of my brain. This is how I am. I am pragmatic and I am very proud of it. For example, when I heard about my role in Angrezi Medium, I knew instantly that I really wanted to make this film. For me, there was never any question of the size of my role in a film, of its experience. I have always been a confident actor and I do my best.

Rule # 2: Always be hungry for good work

No matter the size of my part in a film, an actor will always remain an actor. An actor rises above his roles and the key is to make it big. In Angrezi Medium, I play a cop. It is a small part, but I hope I have done something meaningful and memorable with this small role. Even if you play a small role in a relevant film, then you have done your job.

Rule # 3: Never analyze or think too much about your own success

I have never really analyzed my own success, but it was such an exhilarating journey. There have been so many ups and downs in my career and they balance each other out. The ups and downs kept me grounded. I don't know what is the key to success. But all I know is that we've been here for 20 years in Bollywood and that few actresses have been able to do it. Honestly, I feel that my perseverance is more related to reinvention and rejuvenation of my mind. And it has allowed me to last so long and it has allowed me to evolve. I'm constantly trying to refresh my mind and I'm always trying to get away from the toxic and toxic world of Bollywood. I'll come back to it when I'm ready again. I'm glad I had the ability to do it and that kept me sane.

Rule # 4: Never take your education for granted and it is never too late for the university

I have always taken my education for granted. I regret that I never had the opportunity to finish my studies. It is something that will always be present in my mind. I haven't finished my studies even though I could have easily done it. Now I'm married to Saif (Ali Khan, a brain actor) and that makes me wish I had finished my studies. I was in such a rush to join movies that I didn't focus on my education. But it is never too late as Saif says. Even at 50, I can decide to go to university to learn. It is something that is not realized and something very close to my heart.

Rule # 5: always trust your gut

Karisma (her older sister) and I joined the world of cinema at a young age. Nowadays, girls are much more seasoned, careful and sharp. But there are no regrets there. I rely a lot on my instincts and my emotions. I am not a method player per se. I love cinema and I act so much that I can easily switch into characters. Actor play is something I love to do so much I hope I still have 20 years to play.

Directed by Homi Adjania, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen in the return film of the Irrfan Khan Angrezi Medium. The film tells the story of a father's quest to send his daughter to a university outside of India. While Kapoor Khan plays a small role in the film, she says it was her greed for working with Khan that prompted her to accept being part of this warm film.

I needed to check this box. Since I have worked with all Khans, I have not wanted to miss the golden opportunity to be in the same frame as Irrfan. Never respect the duration of your role.
