The Prime Minister addresses the Commons and wishes to express his condolences to the family and friends of Jack Meritt and Saskia Jones, who were killed in the London Bridge bombing last month.

He congratulated Sir Lindsay Hoyle on his election as spokesperson and said: “I think this Parliament has a vast improvement over its predecessor.”

You will remember the Prime Minister saying that he did what he wanted to do during the parliamentary election campaign – “to achieve Brexit”, the phrase …

He described the new Commons as “one of the best parliaments this country has ever produced” with a minimum number of female and ethnic minority members.

Mr Johnson said the new parliament would be “much more democratic” and would not “waste the nation’s time in division and delay”.

“What will this Parliament do?” asks the Tories behind him.

At first they don’t get it, so Pantomime will try with the style again to get the answer he wants.

This time his MPs delivered – “Do Brexit!” Singing history chairs.
