Uber has lost his London operating license – BBC News

Uber will not issue a new private rental license, Transport for London (TfL) has said. TfL concluded that the ride-hailing application company was not fit and proper to hold a London-based private operator license.
He said the decision was due to “public safety and security implications”.
Confirming that he would appeal the decision, Uber said it had shown the world that “far from being open, London is closed to innovative companies”. About 3.5 million passengers and 40,000 drivers use the London Uber app.
