Famous Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh has become singer Raj from Punjab. CM Charanjit Channi made the announcement at the Dastan-e-Shahadat Memorial in Chamkaur Sahib. He also announced Shiromani Sahitya Puraskar for the famous Punjabi writer and poet Surjit Patar.

Both will be given ministerial rank by the government of the Punjab. CM Channi said that the two personalities have greatly contributed to making the Sikh history of Punjab memorable, thanks to which the government of Punjab grants them this honor.

The program was held at Shri Chamkaur Sahib on the 552nd Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Patshahi of Sikhism. Here, the Punjab government’s Ministry of Tourism and Culture built a Dastan-e-Shahadat memorial depicting Sikh history.
