Fox News Tucker Carlson sues Trump and Kushner over protests

Washington protesters have since rallied several times in Lafayette Square, across from the White House, facing heavily armed police officers. A Fox News reporter was also chased from the area by protesters, whom Carlson vehemently condemned.

Amid heated arguments between protesters and the Secret Service and local police, the White House temporarily closed its doors last week and Trump is said to have taken refuge in a White House bunker.

He continued: On Twitter the next morning, the president reassured America that he and his family were fine. The federally funded bodyguards had kept them safe. He did not mention the protection of the rest of the nation, much of which was then on fire. He only seemed aware of himself.

Carlson also spoke of Nero, who legend says he fiddled lazily while Rome was burning, implying that Trump would remember the same if he did not take decisive action to contain the protests. However, Carlson acknowledged Trump’s briefing on Monday night, where he promised a show of force if governors and mayors did not curb the protests.

Trump and Kushner were not targets of Carlsons on Monday’s show. The Fox News host also came under heavy fire against state and local leaders for supporting the protesters. Although many elected officials voted in favor of the protesters’ demands for racial justice, several cities imposed curfews with additional force from the National Guard.

Kushner was also just one of the unidentified “key advisers” whom Carlson said “doesn’t seem to understand … the gravity of the moment”, not only for the country but also for Trump’s re-election prospects.
