A 4.3-magnitude earthquake hits the border between India and Bangladesh

Officials said a moderate earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale shook the India-Bangladesh border Wednesday morning, but there were no reports of damage.

Regional earthquake center officials said that the earthquake occurred at about 7:10 am, and its epicenter was at a depth of 55 km and a place 82 km southeast of Sahara.

A senior police officer said people had felt the earthquake through Meghalaya, but there was no immediate word of damage.
