George continued, “I will say this regarding everything I said about Boris, I will forgive him everything if he delivers us an appropriate Brexit.
“No extensions, no problem.
“If he does, I will forgive him and gladly take back everything I said.”
Farage pointed out that the deadline for extending the transition period to apply for is fast approaching.
The next round of talks has started between the UK and the EU via a video link.
Brexit talks were blocked after quarrels broke out between the parties, each accusing the other of being unreasonable in its demands.
British chief negotiator David Frost warned Michel Barnier that the EU should abandon its “ideological approach”.
Mr. Barnier wrote a return letter, warning against the “tone” of Mr. Frost’s request.
A German official has announced that EU leaders will intervene in the Brexit negotiations in the autumn.
