The UK today announced less than 100 new coronavirus deaths a day for the first time since lockdown began.
The Department of Health and Human Services has revealed that 77 people have died. In other words, the death toll in the UK reached 40,542.

Today’s numbers are the lowest since March 23, when 74 deaths were recorded before the pandemic went wild in Britain.

The UK now has the second highest coronavirus death rate in the world after the US-109,143 people have been killed in bugs.
According to John Hopkins University, the UK is followed by Brazil (34,021), Italy (33,774) and France (29,114).
