COVID occurs in Brevard as a variant of BA2 Omicron arrives in Florida
COVID-19 hospitalizations in Breverd increased last week, albeit still low, according to CDC data. The number of cases continued to decline.

Despite the increase in hospitalizations, the number of cases decreased from March 24th to March 30th. According to the CDC, the Space Coast had 26.91 cases per 100,000 population. The following sites supported by the Brevard County Office for Emergency Management are available for COVID-19 inspections.
- Florida Health Department-Brevad, 2555 Judge Fran Jamison Way, Viera; 8am-5pm on weekdays. This is a walk-up site. Pre-register at nomihealth.com.
- Parrish Medical Center, 951 N. Washington Avenue, Titusville; Monday-Sunday 8 am-6pm. This is a drive-through site. No reservation required.
Established or new omni-healthcare patients are also available for testing at the Brevard County office. To make an appointment, the patient can call Dr. Omni’s office.
Various other emergency medical centers, private clinics and pharmacies also offer COVID-19 tests, and some retailers sell home test kits. The Florida Department of Health offers COVID-19 vaccines at three sites.
