Happy pear twins issue an apology following a breast cancer video
Brother Happy Pear apologized for the video discussing breast cancer and diet. Some of that statement is labeled “not true.”
Happy Pair, consisting of twin brothers Stephen and David Flynn, shared a deleted Instagram post to promote an upcoming podcast.
In it, among others, they argued that mushrooms can reduce the risk of breast cancer.
The pair has since taken to Instagram Stories to apologize, saying their intentions weren’t upsetting.
“Recently, I posted a video about breast cancer and many were upset. I’m really sorry to upset someone just because I wanted to say it wasn’t our intention.”
“This was an excerpt from a podcast I recorded with my doctor about women’s health, but I just wanted to apologize.”
In a statement to , They say: I wasn’t properly qualified.
“We sincerely apologize for any violations caused. It is not our intention to mislead or provide false information.”

The statement added that Happy Pair does not represent itself as a medical professional.
“HappyPear is affiliated with many talented and experienced practitioners and we always respect their expertise and opinions. HappyPear can demonstrate its status as a medical professional or medical professional. is not.

The original post was criticized by many on weekends, including parts of the medical community.
David Robert Grimes, a physicist and cancer researcher, said it wouldn’t help if people linked breast cancer to a diet.
He wrote on Twitter:

Diet and cancer are complex and the correctable risk of diet is less than you think. Surgeon Dr. Liz O’Riodan added that people shouldn’t believe everything they see on social media.
She said on Twitter that a mushroom, soy, and plant-based diet does not reduce the risk of developing breast cancer.
Happy Pear owns a cafe in Greystones and has released many cookbooks in recent years.
