Chatteris super fan reminiscent of Tom Parker

A big fan of Tom Parker, celebrating his 18th birthday with him, Wanted participates in a fundraiser for brain tumor research in his memory.

Tom died on March 30th at the age of 33.

Chatteris’s Kaley Henshaw is the first fan of The Wanted to support them for the past 12 years.

The 29-year-old met the band several times and received a surprise visit from them on her 18th birthday.

Now she wants to continue Tom Parker’s fight to raise money for brain tumor research.

Since being diagnosed in October 2020, Tom has helped raise awareness of the devastation of brain tumors.

Cary will participate in the Brain Tumor Research Jog 26.2 Miles in the May Challenge.

She states: “This is definitely a challenge for me because I’m not active and I’m not running at all, but I’m determined and want to raise as much money as possible.

“I have set a funding target of £ 500 and I absolutely hope to break it.”

She added: “If he’s still here, he’s trying to do what he’s doing, and he’s raising money and awareness for brain tumor research.

“He was a respected power. If he believed in something, he did something about it.”

Cary’s “funship” and friendship and group with Tom extended to those who once stopped by her.

“Tom Parker and Max George spent the night at my grandma’s house,” she said.

“I first met them when they were on a school tour and trying to get a few followers.

“I loved their music, but after meeting them and understanding how wonderful they were, I wanted to see them many times.

“They also remembered me. When they came on my 18th, as soon as they met my mother, they knew who the party was for.
