Rare Cases of Monkeypox Diagnosed in the UK-Consumer Health News
Tuesday, May 17, 2022 (HealthDay News)-Four men in the United Kingdom have been infected with “rare and rare” Monkeypox virus.

In western and central Africa, the virus usually spreads by touching or biting infected wildlife. But it can spread among people with very close contact, British health officials said.
Dr. Susan Hopkins, Chief Medical Advisor of the UK Health Security Agency, said: “We especially encourage gay and bisexual men to notice abnormal rashes and lesions and contact sexual health services without delay.”
Public health officials consider the risk to the general population to be low. They work with hospitals and international partners to determine if there is a similar increase in case numbers elsewhere. This includes tracking people who have come into contact with cases of monkeypox, including airline passengers. AP Said.

Doctors who see patients with unexplained rashes should seek advice from specialists, public health officials said.
