Second-hand smoke may pose asthma risk to future generations, study finds
Children are more likely to develop asthma if their fathers were exposed to second-hand smoke as children, according to a study published in . European Respiratory Journal.

“Our study suggests that men who were exposed to second-hand smoke during childhood may further reduce the risk of passing it on to their children if they avoid smoking,” Dr. Bui said. .
Researchers can’t be sure how this damage is passed down from generation to generation, but Professor Dharmage thinks it may have something to do with epigenetic changes.
