A weak earthquake was recorded near Sabah

An earthquake was detected off the Datu border coastal region at 9.20 pm yesterday, with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale.

It is reported that it occurred at a depth of 10 km, about 16 km southeast of Manar, in the morning.

The last time the state recorded a fatal earthquake was in 2015 when a 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck the state, killing 18 people on Mount Kinabalu.
