Uttarakhand shook early in the morning, midnight tremors were felt in North India

The tremors were felt in the state of Uttarakhand as a 4.3 magnitude earthquake hit the state this morning at 6.27 am. It originated in Pithoragarh, and its depth was 5 km.

According to experts in the past 10 years, Uttarakhand has seen 700 such plots of land.

Earlier, yesterday’s midnight tremors passed through the hearts of northern India as a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal. Tremors were felt in the NCR Delhi area as well.

It was about 1.57 am when the earthquake struck. According to the National Center of Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake was near Dipayal, Nepal, about 340 km west of Kathmandu.

People woke up in the middle of the night across Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and even in part of Lucknow.

According to reports, this was the third earthquake in Nepal in the past five hours. According to the data of the National Center of Seismology, the first earthquake of magnitude 4.9 struck Nepal at 8.52 pm yesterday, followed by two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 3.5 at 9.41 pm and 6.3 magnitude at 1.57 am and were felt in northern India.

People appeared on social media with midnight tweets and videos showing how they felt when the earthquake struck.

According to early reports, 6 people died when a building collapsed in the Doti district of Nepal. Also on Sunday, Uttarakhand experienced a 4.5-magnitude earthquake.
