The Pacific Public Health Fellowship Program, part of the Department of Public Health and Social Services, will host an event on World AIDS Day.
Worlds AIDS Day is dedicated to raising awareness of the disease caused by the spread of HIV infection. It is also a time to pay tribute to those who have died of AIDS.
Waves run from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. His ITC intersection on Thursday.
Participants are asked to wear a red dress that symbolizes awareness and support for people living with HIV.

Following the wave, an outreach event will be held on Saturday from 1-4pm in the former Game Stop space on the ground floor of the Micronesia Mall.
Outreach includes exhibits and resources from other partners, according to Jonica Castro, a member of Public Health’s STD/HIV/Viral Hepatitis/Family Planning Program.
We also offer free HIV testing and activities.
The wave and outreach were planned by Public Health, along with Westcare Pacific Islands and the nonprofit GALA, Castro said.
To wrap up World AIDS Day, Castro and Patricia Lee will give a presentation on sexually transmitted diseases and HIV on Tuesday from 4-5 p.m. at Guam Community College’s multi-purpose auditorium.
There will also be a free on-site STD/HIV screening on December 7 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the GCC’s Health Service Center.
