King County distributes free face covers at Federal Way on July 21st
Residents of King County will get a free face cover to address the COVID-19 epidemic at the Federal Way distribution event on Tuesday, July 21, from 1-5 pm.
These masks are part of the 25 million face covers purchased by King County and will be the first public distribution sponsored by the County.
The drive-through distribution event will take place at the Wirehauser King County Aquatic Center and is open to only King County residents. Each resident can receive two reusable cloth masks, each vehicle can get a mask for up to 6 household members, or 12 masks per vehicle.
You should always wear a face cover indoors in public spaces and outdoors if you are unable to maintain a 6-foot distance due to recent instructions from the State Department of Health and Public Health in Seattle and King County. Face masks help reduce the transmission of the virus and, along with hand washing and social distance, play an important role in ending outbreaks.
