Jokowi Cancel inaugurates the Manado-Bitung toll road today

The Manado Bitung toll road is the first highway in North Sulawesi with a length of 39 kilometers. The first segment to be operated is 20.5 km from the Manado Simpang Susun Kauditan section. There are three gates in this stretch of road.

If inaugurated, the Manado-Bitung toll road is expected to contribute to economic development and increase tourism potential in North Sulawesi, especially in the cities of Manado and Bitung.

Meanwhile, chief representative Bank of Indonesia (BI) North Sulawesi Arbonas Hutabarat Ensures Manado-Bitung Toll Road Cashless Payment System ready to run.

“Everything is ready, both the bank and the system,” Arbonas said in Manado on Tuesday July 22, 2020.

According to Arbonas, users of toll roads will later have to use the non-cash payment system to pay the toll tariffs. Five national banks and one local bank are also poised to become payment system performers by providing electronic money, namely Bank SulutGo (BSG), BNI, BRI, BCA, Mandiri and BTN.
