First measles case confirmed in DuPage County
DUPAGE COUNTY — The DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) confirmed Saturday that a DuPage County resident has contracted measles, marking the county's first measles case since 2009.
A DCHD official said: This case does not appear to be connected to the newly arrived shelter in Chicago, and the source of infection is unknown at this time.
Those diagnosed with measles are receiving outpatient care, and DCHD said it is “working diligently with our public health partners to identify and notify individuals who may have been exposed to the virus.”
No exposure locations have been identified in DuPage County, but multiple exposure locations were identified in Chicago from April 2nd to April 10th.

DCHD officials said for further guidance anyone who has not been vaccinated against measles or whose vaccination status is unknown and was at any of the locations on the dates and times listed may have been exposed to measles. Said you need to visit the above website. .
DCHD officials also recommend that people who receive the measles vaccine monitor themselves for symptoms for 21 days. They said people who have been exposed and have been vaccinated are probably safe, but should contact their health care provider if they develop symptoms in the meantime.
