Eat and drink among the stars of Wax Hollywood at Madame Tussauds' new rooftop bar

Madame Tussauds Hollywood is bringing guests closer than ever to the stars with its new rooftop restaurant and bar opening on August 2. The Hollywood Rooftop Bar and Restaurant will offer a different type of celebrity dining experience with wax figures on hand to join guests for a meal. Although Madame Tussauds has not announced who will be on the roof, stars immortalized in the museum include Ryan Gosling, Harry Styles, Ariana Grande and Danny Trejo.

The experience will begin when guests are taken to the rooftop in a VIP elevator. Chef Shirlie Belloso will lead the kitchen and cocktails will also be available. Museum tickets will not be required to visit the restaurant, which will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Silver Lake sushi hotspot opens cafe and wine bar

The group behind Santo is opening Barr Seco, a new coffee and wine bar in Silver Lake, this summer. Chef David Notes' menu will be inspired by Mexico, Manila and the Mediterranean and will be accompanied by natural wines selected by sommelier Kae Whalen. Early renderings of the space by architect Lena Kohl show a cozy main room accented by a wooden bar and green tile backsplash.

N/Soto adds new weekday tasting menu

N/Naka's sister restaurant, N/Soto is now offering a six-course tasting menu on Wednesdays and Thursdays for $95. Developed by chef Yoji Tajima and executive chef Gregory Otero, the menu features dishes like shrimp katsu with Japanese milk bread and Kewpie tartare, as well as braised short ribs with wasabi and pickles. For an additional $25, a nigiri class can be added. Reservations are available here.

Domenica Dinette takes over the kitchens of the Arroyo Club

Sunday Chef Evening Sunday dinner will appear at the Arroyo Club every Monday and Tuesday starting June 17. The menu will include Greek and Italian snacks like lamb pita, giardiniera and squash blossoms prepared to accompany the bar's cocktails.

A family meal to raise funds for independent restaurants

The Independent Hospitality Coalition is hosting a fundraiser to raise money for the Small Business Support Act on June 24 at Jemma in Hollywood.
