Another innovative feature of these super affordable earphones is the use of two different drivers in each earpiece: There's an 11mm dynamic driver for bass and midrange, which is titanium coated to produce deep, powerful bass.

For the treble, the earphones use a second driver, which is a 6mm ultra-thin 25m planar diaphragm with a flat coil cone. It has a bit of a long name, but this little driver is responsible for the treble, delivering crisp and clear treble, rather than relying on a single speaker to cover the entire range.

The CFM Buds Pro 2 has a frequency response of 20Hz to 40kHz, making it Hi-Res Audio certified. Most earphones go up to 20kHz, but these go even higher. I doubt our ears are good enough to hear those high frequencies, but the overall range will make an impact on the music.

With support for the LDAC Bluetooth audio codec, Buds Pro 2 can transmit audio at up to 96kHz and 24-bit resolution at 990kbps. This is three times faster than traditional audio codecs, allowing Buds Pro 2 to be Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified. To hear the effect, you'll need a smartphone or device that supports LDAC.

Unfortunately, Apple iPhones don't support the LDAC codec, so you'll have to make do with AAC, which is also supported by these earphones, but at a lower resolution due to transmission speeds limited to a maximum of around 300kbps. For very basic smartphones, there's also fallback support for SBC.
