Jokowi Asks BPK to Support Transition Process for Change of Government

SinPo.id – President Joko Widodo has asked the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to support the transition process from his government to President-elect Prabowo Subianto, so that it goes smoothly. This support is important to maintain sustainable development, for the progress of the Indonesian state.
“In October 2024, I will be replaced by the elected President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto. I hope for the support of the BPK and all components of the nation to support this government transition so that it goes smoothly,” Jokowi said at the press conference. Submission of the report on the results of the audit on the central government financial report (LHP LKPP) for the 2023 fiscal year at the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 8, 2024.
Jokowi also hopes that the BPK will support the improvement of the government ecosystem, building a government system that is accountable, flexible and always results-oriented.
Furthermore, Jokowi believes that Prabowo's government will pay close attention to the BPK's recommendations.
Not to mention, Jokowi also called on all ministries/state institutions as well as regional heads to implement all recommendations made by the BPK.
Because citizens' money must be used well and managed in a transparent and responsible manner.
“I ask the ministers, heads of institutions and regional heads to immediately follow up and complete the recommendations of the BPK audit so that our financial management, APBN and APBD improve day by day, every year,” he said.
