PM Modi cites surgical strikes to launch attack on Congress
HISAR: As his election rallies in Haryana and Jammu on Saturday coincided with the anniversary of the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian armed forces against POK-based terrorist launch pads in 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed is taken to Congress, recalling how the opposition party had questioned the strikes by seeking evidence of the entire operation.
“Today is September 28. Let me remind you that it was on the night of September 28 (2016) that we carried out the surgical strike… what did Congress do? They asked our army for proof of the surgical strike. This is the same Congress which called our army chief a street goon. In Jammu, the Prime Minister said the surgical strikes had shaken the enemy. He said no one would now dare to hatch conspiracies against the country because “the mentors of terrorism know that Modi will find them wherever they hide.”
“Today is the anniversary of the historic surgical strikes against Pakistan,” PM Modi said. “It was on this day that we struck the enemy directly at home.” He said the strikes showed the world that this was the new India and could no longer be taken for granted. “Modi will not spare those who try to disrupt our peace,” he said.
PM Modi said, “The Congress has fallen so low that it demanded proof of surgical strikes. He said: “Can we forgive such betrayal? Never!”
Addressing the third Jan Ashirwad rally held in Hisar, Modi not only said that the Congress was grappling with “Urban Naxalites', but also called him communal, misleading, dishonest, anti-Dalit and reservation, enemy of farmers and Pakistan's favorite party. “Congress has never truly honored the sacrifices of our brave soldiers…” he said.
“Today, the party is being hijacked by 'Urban Naxal' sympathizers, who welcome the infiltrators as 'vote banks', while mocking the suffering of our fellow citizens.”
Citing the parliamentary poll victories in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, PM Modi said the Congress had “inflated” a balloon of lies a lot, but the public deflated that balloon by puncturing it with their votes. “Now the same thing will happen in Haryana too,” he said.
