PM Modi calls Cong Prez Kharge to inquire about his health
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge to inquire about his health after the opposition leader required medical assistance during a public meeting. Kharge fell ill while addressing a rally in Jasrota belt of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.
After receiving medical treatment, Kharge said he “would not die” before Modi was removed from power. Congress leaders said Kharge is now stable after a medical examination. According to official sources, the Prime Minister called the Congress president and wished him good health.

“He has been examined by his medical team and, apart from slightly low blood pressure, he is doing well. I am extremely grateful for everyone's concern. His determination, along with people's good wishes, allows him to continue to go hard,” said Priyank Kharge, who is a minister in the Karnataka government.
Mallikarjun Kharge fell ill while paying tribute in his speech to a police chief who was killed during an ongoing operation with terrorists in Kathua. Two other police officers were injured in the incident and one terrorist was killed.
