Why Kamala Harris plans to troll Trump with banner flying over Alabama-Georgia game canceled

Vice President Kamala Harris was expected to deliver a pointed message to former President Donald Trump — and to the more than 100,000 people in attendance Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium for the Georgia-Alabama game.

CNN reported that the Harris campaign would have a small plane fly over Tuscaloosa during the game with a banner reading Trump's Punting on 2nd Debate.

Trump, along with Alabama Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville, attended the Alabama-Georgia football game in Tuscaloosa.

Additionally, the campaign planned to air a national ad during the match inviting Trump to meet her on the debate stage for a rematch.

Winners never back down from a challenge, says the ad's narrator. Champions know it’s anytime, anywhere. But the losers, they whine, procrastinate and take their ball home.

The banner, however, was nowhere to be seen during the match.

The flight was canceled due to weather conditions, the New York Times reported. The TV commercial was always ready to air.

Earlier this month, Trump said it was too late to hold another debate after campaign vice president Kamala Harris said she had accepted an invitation for a showdown on CNN in October.

Harris and Trump took the stage for their only debate so far on September 10, a showdown moderated by ABC News that was initially agreed to by the Republican presidential candidate and Biden's campaign.

That debate saw Trump deliver an uneven performance and a CNN snap poll showed voters considered Harris the clear winner. The Harris campaign immediately challenged Trump to a second televised contest, and she repeatedly said at rallies that she couldn't wait to get back on stage.

Trump, in the home stretch of the presidential race against Harris, will attend his third high-stakes game in Alabama. Trump was in attendance at the 2017 national championship in Atlanta, when the Crimson Tide defeated Georgia 26-23. In 2019, Trump came to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-LSU game, won by LSU, the eventual national champion that year.
