KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo said there was positive progress in holding the Mandalika MotoGP. Jokowi said Dorna called Indonesia different.
The Mandalika MotoGP 2024 race will take place on Sunday (29/9/2024) at Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
Jokowi was present to watch the race directly. He came to the Mandalika circuit accompanied by the Minister of State Enterprises, Erick Thohir, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo.

Jokowi then highlighted the importance of local contributions. He appreciated the involvement of the local people of West Nusa Tenggara who played an important role in the success of Mandalika MotoGP 2024.
“For the crew, I'm happy that the 3,000 crew members here are all from NTB. That's what I'm happy about,” Joko Widodo said.
According to him, Mandalika MotoGP must continue to improve and conduct continuous evaluations to improve the quality of implementation in the future.

Dorna Sports, as organizer, said Jokowi gave a positive response regarding holding this year's MotoGP at the Mandalika circuit.

At the end of the Mandalika MotoGP 2024, President Jokowi handed over the championship trophy directly to Jorge Martin.
Martin, who races for Pramac Racing, finished first in the 2024 Mandalika MotoGP main race. He is ahead of Pedro Acosta (Red Bull Gasgas Tech3) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team).
