The man who allegedly claimed to have C4 explosives in his car and speed through a security checkpoint at Donald Trump's Michigan rally over the weekend pleaded not guilty to charges against him Monday .

Steven William Nauta was charged with four counts, including making a false threat of terrorism and possessing bomb-making materials. He has pleaded not guilty to each charge, according to a court official.

A $1 million bond was set for Nauta at his arraignment Monday, according to a court official, and he was placed under house arrest.

In the complaint against Nauta, prosecutors allege he approached a traffic stop and presented a bottle to police and said it was a C4 explosive and that it was the real deal.

Nauta's not guilty plea comes the same day that Ryan Wesley Routh, who allegedly sat outside Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla., with a rifle while Trump played golf, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, including attempted murder. a political candidate.
