Women's tennis competes in the Bedford Cup
JACKSONVILLE, FL –North Florida women's tennis continues its stellar start to the fall season when they travel south for the Bedford Cup, hosted by Miami, Oct. 4-6 in Coral Gables, Florida. The Bedford Cup is held annually each fall and features Division I programs throughout the state of Florida.
This season will be the 11th year in a row that the tournament has taken place for the Ospreys. Play starts at 9am each day, with doubles and singles matches all day.
On Friday, preparation, each athlete will be prepared to play one round of doubles and two singles matches, with an additional doubles match if necessary. Each player is guaranteed two singles and two doubles matches this weekend.
All eight of the team's Ospreys will make another appearance at the Bedford Cup this weekend. Anslee Lang, Gabby Goyins And Aryana Bartlett trying to improve on their 3-0 singles start to the fall seasons, while Laurie Barendse And Nicole Alfaro Solis joins Long and Bartlett at 3-0 doubles.
Scoring format
Singles: Two of the three sets without AD, with a 10-point tiebreak for the third set
Doubles: One set to six without AD
