PUPR constructed 5,999 km of new national roads during Jokowi's administration

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the PUPR Ministry constructed 5,999 km of new national roads during the 10 years of Indonesian President Joko Widodo's administration (Jokowi).
“For the toll road, 2,432 new kilometers have been built, but for the national road, there are 5,999 new kilometers, so there are many more national roads,” Basuki said on Friday in Jakarta.
During the 10 years of Indonesian President Joko Widodo's administration, the PUPR Ministry not only built new toll roads, but also built more new national roads.
“So, not only toll roads, but 5,999 km of new national roads were also built,” Basuki said.
He said that apart from the construction of roads, the PUPR Ministry was also constructing bridges, suspension bridges, etc. hover Or underpass.
“If the bridge construction is 125,904 meters, there are 583 suspension bridges, then flyover/underpass 27,673 meters,” Basuki said.

In the connectivity sector, the PUPR Ministry and the Toll Roads Business Entity (BUJT) completed the construction of 2,432 km of toll roads.
One of them that was recently inaugurated by President Joko Widodo is the 72 km long Stabat – Tanjung Pura toll road and the 72 km long Tebing Tinggi – Serbelawan – Sinaksak toll road, which is part of the road to Trans Sumatra toll.
The presence of toll roads connected to productive areas such as industrial, tourist zones, airports and ports will be able to reduce logistics costs and increase the competitiveness of national products.
