Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to begin a tour of Maharashtra on Saturday, where he will inaugurate Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Mumbai Metro Line 3, the city's first fully underground metro line.

The Prime Minister will also preside over the inauguration and Bhoomipujan of other development projects in Mumbai.

A 12.69 kilometer stretch of Mumbai Metro Line 3, between Aarey JVLR and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), will be partially opened.

The event will be attended by Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and other dignitaries.

PM Modi will arrive at BKC Metro Station for the Line 3 launch ceremony and will take a journey from BKC to Santacruz Metro Station before returning to BKC. During the trip, he will interact with Laadki Bahin beneficiaries, students and workers on board the train.

The Prime Minister will also launch a mobile application, MetroConnect3, designed to enhance the travel experience with modern features.

A beautiful book presenting the journey of the Mumbai underground metro will also be unveiled by the Prime Minister. The book contains a collection of stunning visuals that trace the development of the metro.

“It's a momentous day for Mumbaikars tomorrow! We are honored that the honorable Prime Minister will inaugurate Metro Line 3. This milestone ushers in a new era of seamless travel, transforming the landscape of our city and making commuting everyday easier and more efficient,” said Ashwini Bhide, Managing Director, MMRC.

In line with his commitment to farmers, the Prime Minister will disburse the 18th tranche of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, worth around Rs 20,000 crore, to around 9.4 crore farmers. This disbursement will take the total funds disbursed under PM-KISAN to around Rs 3.45 lakh crore.

The Prime Minister will also launch the 5th tranche of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, disbursing around Rs 2,000 crore.

Additionally, PM Modi will dedicate over 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), valued at over Rs 1,920 crore. These projects include contract recruitment centers, primary processing units, warehouses, sorting and grading units, cold storage and post-harvest management facilities.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate 9,200 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with a combined turnover of around Rs 1,300 crore.

Besides, PM Modi will launch the unified genomic chip for livestock and sex-sorted indigenous semen technology.

Besides, the Prime Minister will dedicate five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 MW across Maharashtra, as part of the Mukhyamantri.

Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana – 2.0. He will also pay homage to the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
PM Modi to lay foundation stone of Elevated Eastern

Expressway extension from Chheda Nagar to Anand Nagar, Thane, a project worth around Rs 3,310 crore which will provide seamless connectivity from South Mumbai to Thane.

Prime Minister will also launch phase 1 of Navi Mumbai
Notified Airport Influenced Area (NAINA) project, worth around Rs 2,550 crore, which includes construction of arterial roads, bridges, flyovers, underpasses and integrated utility infrastructure.

Finally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of a new administrative building for the Thane Municipal Corporation, which will be constructed at a cost of around Rs 700 crore. This high-rise building will centralize most of the municipal offices, thereby providing greater convenience to the citizens of Thane.
