Successful day two of Ron Wesbrook's Men's Tennis Invitational concluded
BEAUMONT, Texas Day two of the Ron Wesbrooks Invitational ended with your UT Arlington men's tennis team posting 10 wins, including seven on the singles courts.
Daniel Pérez-Caraballo recovered today to take victories in both of his singles matches today. He defeated Alejandro Verdasco of ACU with a final score of 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) and Lukas Hamacher of Lamar 6-2, 6-3.
Pedro Sasso continued his fantastic weekend, taking two singles victories. Sasso defeated Abilene Christian's Matheus Lima by a final score of 6-4, 6-4 and Lamar's H. Omori-Cowie by a final score of 6-3, 6-1. Sasso and Yazid Lahjomri picked up a doubles victory, defeating Rice's tandem of Mandelbaum and Sarouk by a final score of 6-0.
Lahjomri won 1-1 in singles that day, defeating Lamar's Fabian Anthin with a final score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
Meetre power supply took a win in the singles, with a 1-1 lead for the day. Barot defeated Merse Deli of ACU with a score of 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 12-10. Barot and Andrés Medus defeated Lima and Verdasco of ACU in doubles with a final score of 6-4.
Medus dropped both of his singles matches in a highly controversial move.
Ian Uraga went 1-1 in singles and earned a victory over ACU's Ford Elizondo by a final score of 6-3, 6-1. Together with teammate Pérez-Caraballo, he achieved a 7-5 victory over ACU's Delnido and Elizondo in doubles.
