Taliban expresses concern over unrest in Pakistan, urges Islamabad for dialogue as PTI protests intensify
The Foreign Ministry of the Taliban-ruled Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has expressed “concern” over the unfolding situation in Pakistan, adding that it is actively “monitoring” developments in the country.
The ministry spokesperson said: “Tensions between the government and supporters of the political opposition in neighboring Pakistan have reached a worrying level and their persistence could have a negative impact on the entire region. The people's demands require dialogue and understanding. »

We are closely monitoring the situation in Pakistan and hope that the Pakistani government and influential institutions will respond to the growing discontent in a reasonable and realistic manner,” added the ministry.
In Pakistan, more than 30 people affiliated with Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, including lawyers, were arrested on the night of Saturday October 5 after gathering at the historic site of Minar- e-Pakistan, demanding the release of their leader. , according to police reports released Sunday.
The atmosphere in Islamabad and nearby Rawalpindi, which saw violent clashes on Saturday, remains tense. However, no violence was reported in these towns on Sunday, suggesting a gradual improvement in the situation.
According to the Lahore police, more than 200 PTI leaders and members, including Khan himself, have been charged with terrorism following the violent clashes between security forces and their supporters, which led to the death of a policeman and many injured.
Khan had issued a directive titled 'Do or Die', urging PTI supporters to protest in their respective cities. Meanwhile, Imran Khan's party has reaffirmed its commitment to continue protests against the government.
At a late-night meeting, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party decided to continue its protests until Khan, who has been incarcerated since August last year, is released.
