ABOUT US
Table Tennis Ireland (TTI) is the national governing body for the sport of table tennis, responsible for the administration and overall development of all areas of the sport, island-wide.
TTI is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors which currently consists of six directors and a company secretary. The Board is supported by the CEO, the Administration and Finance Officer and the executive team, who handle its activities.
Table tennis Ireland Vision is a sport for everyone, a sport for life. It is a fully inclusive sport suitable for all age groups, from juniors to masters, both able-bodied and disabled.
About the person
TTI is currently looking for a person with financial experience to strengthen its board. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in financial management and accounting. They must be able to communicate well and be confident in clearly disseminating financial information.
THE ROLE
Finance Director is a volunteer role to assist in providing financial information to the Board of Directors to facilitate planning, control and decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
Mandatory commitment:
There will be attendance of approximately 8 board meetings and the annual general meeting each year, as well as participation in the quarterly audit and risk committee meetings.
Meetings are normally held online and occasionally in Dublin at the Sport Ireland Campus.
Outside of board meetings, the required time commitment is 2 to 3 hours per month.
This is an unpaid position, but reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
