ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Interior Ministry on Sunday formally received the application filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seeking permission to hold a meeting with party founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail .

The demand was presented by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Sunni Ittehad Council chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza.

“We should obtain immediate permission to meet with the party founder who last met with his legal team on October 3,” the request states.

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court was also approached by Noreen Khan Niazi, sister of Imran Khan, seeking permission to meet the PTI founder.

Earlier, the PTI had conditioned the cancellation of its demonstration scheduled for October 15 in Islamabad on a meeting with the party's founder, Imran Khan.

According to sources, the PTI central committee concluded an emergency meeting after lengthy discussions, chaired by general secretary advocate Salman Akram Raja.

During the meeting, some members proposed postponing the protest due to the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference, while others, including Shahbaz Gill and Khalid Khurshid, opposed this. delay.
