Guajrat: PM Modi to inaugurate various development projects worth Rs 4,800 crore in Gujarat on October 28
According to the press release, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of water supply department projects worth Rs 705 crore. This includes the inauguration of the Bharatmata Sarovar, built at a cost of Rs 35 crore, on the Gagadio river in Amreli district.
It will also inaugurate 1,000 pit recharge, borehole recharge and well recharge projects and inaugurate 590 projects worth Rs 20 crore under the Water Resources Department.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate various projects of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) worth over Rs 2,800 crore. Besides, the Bhuj-Naliya gauge conversion project will also be launched under the Railway Department at a cost of Rs1094 crore.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of water supply department projects worth Rs 705 crore, including Rs 112 crore for new projects and Rs 644 crore for completed projects.
Among these projects are inauguration of Navda bulk pipeline to Chavand for Botad district and foundation stone of phase 2 of Pasavi Group water augmentation project in Bhavnagar district, the release said .
According to the government statement, the completion of Navda bulk pipeline project to Chavand provides additional 28 crore liters of water to 1,298 villages and 36 towns of Botad, Amreli, Junagadh, Rajkot and Porbandar districts, benefiting approximately 6.7 million people. Meanwhile, in Bhavnagar district, the water supply projects will benefit 95 villages in Mahuva, Talaja and Palitana talukas, covering a population of around 2.75 lakh.
Under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, the Gujarat government and Dholakia Foundation constructed Bharatmata Sarovar at a cost of Rs 35 crore near Het Ni Haveli in Dudhala, Lathi. A check dam under the Watershed Department, with a storage capacity of 4.50 crore litres, was deepened and widened, increasing its capacity by 20 crore litres, now named Bharatmata Sarovar, storing 24.50 crore liters of water. PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various NHAI projects worth Rs 2,811 crore, including inauguration of four projects worth Rs 2,185 crore and foundation of one project worth Rs 626 crore.
The four NHAI projects being inaugurated include the four lanes of Dhrol-Bhadra-Patiya sections of NH 151A at a cost of Rs 768 crore, the four lanes of Dwarka-Khambhaliya-Devariya sections of NH 151A at a cost of Rs 1025 crore. , and others. The foundation stone will be laid for a four-lane project from Dhrol bypass in Jamnagar district to Amran in Morbi district, costing Rs 626 crore.
On October 28, the Prime Minister will dedicate the Bhuj-Naliya gauge conversion project to the nation. The project, costing Rs 1,094 crore, comprises 24 major and 254 minor bridges, along with 3 highway bridges and 30 underground highway bridges, accelerating the socio-economic development of Kutch district.
Besides, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of tourism-related projects worth Rs 200 crore, including a world-class sustainable ecotourism development at Karli Recharge reservoir in Mokarsagar, Porbandar district, says the press release.
