Kasbah Tamadot, Richard Branson's Moroccan resort, has reopened after a year of post-earthquake restoration, featuring new restaurants, riads and expanded rooms.

Kasbah Tamadot, Sir Richard Branson's Moroccan resort in the High Atlas Mountains, has officially reopened after a year-long restoration. The hotel, which forms part of the exclusive collection of Virgin Limited Edition luxury properties, was partially closed over the past year, while it was rebuilt following the devastating earthquake in the area.

Known for its wonderful Berber hospitality, with 100% of its staff being Moroccan, the hotel will reopen with a complete renovation of the main building, a brand new second restaurant called Asayss and six brand new unique and stunning riads. Each was built on a new, beautifully landscaped open space with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains – increasing the size of the original property from 28 to 42 rooms.
