Cabinet retreat: Ministers discuss endorsement and food security
Magelang, Central Java (ANTARA) – Members of Indonesia's new cabinet receive briefings on key topics including downstream and food security on the second day of a retreat at the Military Academy in Magelang, Java central.
On Saturday, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni announced that the day's briefings would include presentations by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Public Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman and Chief from the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana.
Antoni said the first briefings focused on the endorsement and development of B100 biodiesel, an environmentally friendly fuel created by the Ministry of Agriculture's Research and Development Agency.
After a two and a half hour discussion on Downstream and B100, the retreat will move into sessions on continuing the food planting program, food security and providing healthy meals to those in need, starting in 11 a.m. local time.
At 1:30 p.m., participants are scheduled to attend a session titled “Strategic Review,” led by Coordinating Deputy Minister for Law, Human Rights and Immigration Otto Hasibuan.
Minister Antoni also mentioned that cabinet members started the day with morning exercises and breakfast before briefings.
President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, ministers, heads of government agencies, presidential advisors, special envoys and special staff arrived at the Military Academy on October 24.
The next morning, the President officially opened the retreat, with an emphasis on corruption prevention, highlighted during the first day's briefings.
The event is scheduled to end on October 27.
