CM Saini meets PM Modi in Delhi, discusses projects
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Various development projects and initiatives were discussed during the meeting. The CM said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the two-engine government (Haryana and Centre) would accelerate the pace of development of Haryana.

The Chief Minister was speaking to the media after his meeting with the Prime Minister at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi.
Saini said the Prime Minister highlighted the need to accelerate development initiatives to make life easier for citizens. In line with this objective, the Chief Minister had earlier met Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister for Roads, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, where several projects were approved.
The Chief Minister affirmed his commitment to take forward the development of Haryanas, pledging efforts to elevate the state to new heights of growth and progress. Under these projects, there are plans to extend the Metro and Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) to Gurugram, as well as to extend the RRTS project from Sarai Kale Khan in Panipat, up to Karnal. Similarly, with an aim to reduce traffic jams and ease the movement of people, a road network is being constructed across Haryana.
Replying to a question on women's representation in the Haryana Assembly, the chief minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign from Panipat, Haryana.
Over the past decade, the central government has focused on women's empowerment. Recently, the Union government adopted the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to strengthen the role of women in governance. The Chief Minister said that this bill would definitely enable more women to serve in legislative assemblies.
He said the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was a gift from the Prime Minister to empower women, enabling them to explore new frontiers. Furthermore, he
highlighted initiatives such as Drone Didi and empowerment of women's self-help groups as part of the government's twin-engine commitment to train and support women across India.
On the purchase of paddy, CM Saini said he had asked the officers to ensure purchase of every grain of paddy having moisture content up to 17 percent and if any complaint was received in this regard , strict action would be taken against them.
