Spain condemns attack in Türkiye

The Spanish government on Thursday condemned the unacceptable terrorist attack perpetrated on Wednesday against the installations of the Turkish aerospace industries near Ankara, which left several people and more than twenty injured.
We express our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to the injured, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement. Spain condemns all forms of terrorism and stands alongside Turkey in the fight against this scourge, the statement added.
At least four people died on Wednesday following a heinous attack on the facilities of the Turkish company Aerospace Industries (TAI) in Ankara, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during his official visit to Russia.
For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, reported the neutralization of the two alleged perpetrators of the attack and the Minister of Justice, Yilmaz Tunc, announced the opening of an investigation by the prosecution into this terrorist attack.
The government has not yet commented on the alleged perpetrator of the attack, although Interior Ministry sources assured they would report on it in the coming hours. Security camera recordings show a man and a woman as the perpetrators of the attack.
TAI is considered a pillar of the Turkish aerospace industry and parts for planes, drones, helicopters and satellites are manufactured at the attacked facilities. The company is also involved in international projects and supplies components for the Airbus A380 and the A400M military cargo aircraft.
