Australia rests first-choice Test players for Pakistan T20 series | The Australian cricket team

Australia have opted to omit all their first-choice Test XI for the upcoming Twenty20 series against Pakistan so they can prepare for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

After facing Pakistan in three ODIs on November 4, Australia will next face the same opposition in international cricket's shortest format.

But the third and final T20 will take place in Hobart on November 18, just four days before the first Test against India at Perth's Optus Stadium.

Josh Inglis, uncapped at Test level, is the only member of the T20 squad, named on Monday, who even has an outside chance of being selected to face India.

The West Australian is in contention to fill the vacant spot for the red-ball opener, but Usman Khawajas' new opening partner is likely to be teenage prodigy Sam Konstas or Nathan McSweeney.

Quicks Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson have been recalled to the white-ball squad after recovering from injuries.

Australia named the squad despite not settling on a captain for the three matches.

A skipper who can fill the void left by Mitch Marsh, Australia's Test No. 6, could be Inglis, Adam Zampa or even the enigmatic Glenn Maxwell, who captains the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.

No member of the 13-man squad has previously captained Australia in any format.

This group of players have all represented Australia in T20 cricket, so we look forward to them continuing to enhance their international experience during this series, said chairman of selectors George Bailey.

We are excited about the mix of experiences, combined with those closer to the start of their international journey. It is extremely encouraging to have Xavier, Spencer and Nathan back in the national lineup.

It is a new opportunity for them to continue to demonstrate their capabilities on the international stage, as they have done in the past.

Australia T20 squad

Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
