Three wins in a row for Westwood Tennis
The Westwood High School Tennis Team recently won its third straight University Interscholastic League (UIL) 6A State Championship.
The team captured the title in Waco with a 10-3 victory over Katy Seven Lakes. It is the school's fifth state championship in seven years.
Head tennis coach and assistant athletics coordinator Travis Dalrymple said the team really worked hard to make the 3-peat happen.
Last year we lost seven of our 14 starters to graduation, he said. I am very proud of these children. They earned it every day on the courts.
Westwood Tennis is currently ranked number 1 in the country Universal tennisthe global rating system for tennis players.
