Boris Johnson | Obituary | Vancouver Sun and Province
JOHNSON, Boris – died peacefully in North Vancouver, British Columbia on October 28, 2024 – born in Russell, Manitoba on October 30, 1933; he leaves to mourn his beloved wife of fifty years, Irene; his sister-in-law, Dorean Standbrook, his brother-in-law, Bill Standbrook, a niece and nephew from the Vancouver area and numerous cousins in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Connecticut, USA.
Raised in Marchwell, Saskatchewan, after graduating from United College in Winnipeg, Boris began his career with Trans-Canada Airlines (now Air Canada). He then moved into sales at STP Canada, eventually becoming Western District Manager. After moving to Vancouver and remaining as Western Director until STP closed its Canadian operations, Boris then established his own sales agency, which he operated until his retirement at the age of seventy years old. He had a passion for travel, shared by his wife, Irene. Together they toured extensively abroad, including to his ancestral country, Denmark. Boris was supported by a loving family and dear friends. All cherish their special memories and he will be missed with deep sadness.
