Bobby Carr is officially hired as the football coach of Prattville High School
PRATTVILLE, Ala. (WSFA) – The Prattville Lions officially have their next head football coach after the Autauga County Board of Education approved the hiring of Bobby Carr on Friday.
This is an exciting day for Prattville High School, said PHS Principal Daniel Farris. During this coaching search, we strived to identify a championship-caliber coach. Working with a search committee, we are proud to bring coach Bobby Carr to Prattville High School.
There will be an introductory press conference on Monday at 1:30 PM
Carr has seen unparalleled success during his 27 years as a coach. He has a state championship ring on each finger and was inducted into the National Private School Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 2018.
He joins the Lions after stops at Carver High School in Montgomery, as well as Edgewood Academy and Autauga Academy. Carr's most recent season at Carver led the Wolverines to a 6-3 season. At Edgewood, Carr saw a streak of 71 consecutive wins, a state record that only increased when he moved to Autauga Academy, where it climbed to 96 before suffering a loss.
If you look at his entire career, Carr has a record of 265-65 and won over 80% of the football games he coached.

His proven track record of success and commitment to excellence make him the right candidate for our school. We are pleased to welcome him to the Lions family and look forward to the future of our football program under his leadership.
Prattville has five state championships in its school history and expects more.
