Addressing the AK Party Provincial Congress in Denizli, President Erdoan said: We have worked day and night not to let down our dedicated people, who trust and believe in us and who have never abandoned us during our most difficult days. We experience the joy of having achieved over the past 22 years the greatest achievements, investments and projects in republican history in Trkiye.

Justice and Development Party (AK) Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoan delivered a speech at the party's 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Denizli.

OUR PASSION TO SERVE TRKYE HAS NEVER WEAKEN OR DIMINISHED

President Erdoan said: When we set out on our journey, our direction was set by our nation. Since then, we have never deviated from the direction determined by the nation. Our passion to serve Trkiye has never wavered or diminished. We have worked day and night not to let down our dedicated employees, who trust and believe in us and who have never abandoned us during our most difficult days.

Drawing attention to the services and works launched in Trkiye since the AK Party came to power, President Erdoan said: We experience the joy of having achieved the greatest achievements, investments and Republican history projects in Trkiye. Please put your hands on your heart and see the difference. You will see that there is a huge difference between Denizli 22 years ago and Denizli today. There is a huge difference in all areas between Trkiye 22 years ago and Trkiye today. In the economy, exports, production, employment, agriculture and tourism, whatever area you look at, you see a huge and magnificent difference compared to 22 years ago.

Highlighting Denizlis' contribution to Trkiyes' overall annual exports, President Erdoan added: As you know, foreign trade figures were announced last week. We closed last year with $262 billion in exports. Do you know what this figure was when we came to power? This amounted to only $36 billion, representing a nearly 8-fold increase in 22 years. 262 billion dollars is an annual record in our Republican history. Denizli played an important role in this historic achievement.

WE ARE ONE OF THE COUNTRIES MOST AFFECTED BY THE NEGATIVE RAMIFICATIONS OF THE CONFLICTS IN SYRIA

Regarding developments in Syria, President Erdoan said: After 13 years of bloody massacres in Syria, the Assad regime was overthrown on December 8, the Ba'ath dictatorship collapsed and the opposition reconquered Damascus. As Trkiye, we are delighted that the opposition, which also includes elements we support, has ended 13 years of oppression. The liberation of Syria made us happy, as did our millions of Syrian brothers and sisters. There is nothing more natural since we are one of the countries most affected by the negative consequences of the conflicts in Syria, with which we share a 911 km long border. We have paid a heavy price in many areas, from terrorist acts to attacks on our country. The separatist terrorist organization PKK and DAESH has flourished thanks to the instability of this country. These organizations were emboldened by the support of foreign powers. They sent thousands of truckloads of weapons and ammunition to the separatist organization under the pretext of fighting Daesh.

President Erdoan continued his remarks: The tyrant Assad and his cronies have transformed Syria into a huge drug farm. We know about everything, especially the pills produced by the oppressive Assad family. I'm not even talking here about prisons transformed into centers of death and torture, extrajudicial executions and women raped and murdered in front of their children. In short, a popular revolution that would bring joy to anyone who carries a heart instead of a stone in their body has taken place in Syria.
