Senator Faisal Vawda has spoken out against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, accusing him of being warned of the consequences of his actions, including legal consequences and possible jail term.

Speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, Vawda recalled informing Imran Khan of the approval of the 190 million pound deal, saying: “I informed Imran Khan that a complaint would be filed and he would face a prison sentence. I had already predicted that this case would result in punishment.

Vawda also criticized delays in court proceedings, saying PTI leaders were spreading misinformation.

“There is a punishment for every crime. No one will allow others to benefit from it; you will have to bear the consequences,” he added.

He further spoke about internal divisions within the PTI, claiming that Imran Khan's own party members were plotting against him.

“For two and a half years, I have been warning that Khan's relatives are conspiring against him in prison, and now these issues are surfacing on social media,” Vawda said.

He warned that any further incidents could have political consequences lasting decades.

Vawda also spoke about Imran Khan's leadership, saying his popularity should not lead him to believe that he is untouchable.

“Just because Imran Khan has become popular does not mean he should consider himself untouchable. His life is in danger and his people represent a danger to him,” he said.

The senator expressed concern about the political situation, referring to the May 9 protests that challenged state authority. “Khan’s actions that day were aimed at undermining the state and its institutions. I had warned that those in power were only interested in keeping Imran Khan locked up,” he said.

Vawda also addressed the political climate in Pakistan, emphasizing the need for genuine negotiations. He said: “There is no room for backdoor diplomacy. This is a fight we must face head-on. Pakistan needs honest leadership and transparent negotiations for the good of the people.

Addressing national security, Vawda highlighted the sacrifices made by the Pakistani army and law enforcement agencies. “Our soldiers have paid the ultimate price. Now, Pakistan is ready to play a leading role in the region, with international recognition of the sacrifices made by our security forces,” he noted.

Vawda also highlighted the changing international perspective, noting that while there may be some external pressure, the world's attention is now on Pakistan rather than Khan. “The international winds are blowing in favor of Pakistan.
