A 3.7 magnitude earthquake shakes the northern East Bay

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake occurred in Concord Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS said the quake occurred at 8:49 a.m. between Clayton and Willow Pass roads. The Southern California Earthquake Data Center recorded the quake at a depth of about 9 miles. It was initially measured as a 3.7 magnitude earthquake.

The tremors were felt from Santa Rosa to Mountain View and from the coast to Rio Vista, according to USGS Did You Feel It, which received 3,730 responses.

Sunday's quake comes two days after three earthquakes struck the San Francisco Peninsula on Friday, measuring 3.6, 2.5 and 2.9, with an epicenter 3 to 4 miles northwest of the San Francisco Zoo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Those quakes occurred between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., and were felt strongest from Santa Rosa to Santa Cruz and as far inland as Dublin and San Jose, according to the Was It Feeled report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
