Anger 39% of A-level results fell in England. BBC News

Hundreds of students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland have received A-level and professional qualification results after their tests were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Instead, schools and colleges were told to rate grades, which were then moderated by examination tables to ensure that the results were not significantly higher or lower than in previous years. 78% of A-level results were A star C, 2.6% more than last year. 28% were the best A star and A. level. However, they appeared angry at the results in England; 39% of grades fell and 2% increased. The UK Equality Commission has warned that it will intervene when the most affected system in England had the greatest impact in England, while private school students benefited the most. The university admissions service UCAS says the number of UK students admitted to the place last year has risen by almost 3%. 359,000 students have so far confirmed their choice of university, including more than 7,500 who have found a place.
