Poppy Delevingne and Archie Keswick are pregnant.

It was at London Fashion Week that model, actress and entrepreneur Poppy Delevingne found out she was pregnant with her first child through a series of appropriately chic events.

At her second fitting for the Burberry SS25 show, she noticed something had changed when she realized her look felt a little tighter than her first session two weeks earlier. She watched the show a little dizzy and was immediately tested.

Delevingne is beaming as they chat while sitting at the dining table in their West London home. She said it was partly because she was pregnant and partly because she was currently jetlagged, returning from a last-minute trip with her partner, businessman Archie Keswick, late last night. I woke up at 5 am. I think it would be good to get used to it. She smiles warmly. The 5am club was the only club I didn't want to join. How times have changed.

She's joking. Putting aside the difficult aspects of impending motherhood, the 38-year-old says this about pregnancy: She is truly everything I ever wanted. Yes, it's that girl. Delevingne confirmed, her eyes welling up.

Obviously, I would have been fine with either one and when I was younger I always thought I would never find out if I got pregnant, but the second we were told we could find out, we did. I'm really excited. I came from all girls and was very girly. The girls are great.

Delevingne, of course, is Chloe's younger sister and Cara's eldest sister, the middle of the Delevingne sisters, and was absolutely delighted with the news. The sisters had a great time together on Christmas. We were all in New York, with each other, with Bump, and talked to Bump a lot and petted Bump. They are just happy.

Delevingne and Keswick kept the news to themselves for a while, only sharing it with their nearest and dearest as they neared the four-month mark. I always imagined that if this moment had happened to me, I would have told people,” she says. 'But it was very special. I was very tight-lipped about it. I think I wanted to protect it more than anything.

I think I was really nervous too. It felt like such a special privilege to be able to do this, to have a baby at this age, at this time, and when it happened, I couldn't believe it. It still feels really surreal.

I have 9 godchildren, and I am their aunt. I think they knew that I had dreamed of becoming a mother since I was little. There have been times over the past few years when I thought this might never happen to me. I have made peace with that. So when we told people this, I think they were very touched and happy.

As for Keswick, who has two children from a previous marriage, Delevingne says she was born to be a dad and praises how amazing he was with her friends and family during her pregnancy. I really looked to my friends and the important women in my life to help me get through it. When women come together with this fountain of knowledge, it is amazing. I felt really supported, which made me feel very calm.

Now that Delevingne is approaching her sixth month of pregnancy, the couple has decided to confirm the news publicly. Because she can no longer hide this bump and she knows she might be photographed at various upcoming work events. While she hibernated in the early stages of her pregnancy, hiding her visible traces in a Michelin Man-style coat (baby, I'm living in the age of sloths), she's now embracing maternity style.

I've been trying to squeeze everything in for the past two months, but it's not helping anyone. When we meet, she's wearing her trusty Madeline Thompson cashmere trousers and an oversized high-neck navy jumper, with a penchant for Chinti & Parker and Lululemon leggings. When she wanted to show off her bump for a few days out of the house, she bought Veronica Beard and FRAME jeans in a few sizes from Eterne and high-neck cotton dresses in all colors from Eterne.

The biggest change Delevingne noticed during her pregnancy was her sugar cravings. A self-proclaimed foodie, she developed a taste for cakes, ice cream, and cookies of all shapes and sizes. She felt lucky not to have experienced morning sickness and was in awe as she experienced her body changing. The baby is due in May, and Delevingne's early pregnancy anxiety is gradually giving way to excitement.

Internally, I was anxious about having a baby at that age. I was in a kind of constant state of worry, but as I move forward it all becomes less and less common. She said through tears that meeting her made her less anxious and more excited. This is what happens when I talk to her. She laughs as she acknowledges the hormonal side effects she too is experiencing.

I got to the point where I was so happy to see her. When I close my eyes, I feel like I know her. She's already making me laugh, and I think she's funny.
