TT Coaching Camp in Maliyadeva, a success

The Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL) successfully organized the North West Province Table Tennis Coaching Camp at Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala last week.
More than 30 players participated in this coaching camp which proved to be a significant success in promoting and advancing the sport of table tennis in Sri Lanka. This initiative was made possible by the ITTF Level 1 Coaches training program led by Mohammed Atoum in December.
The camp was led by Level III coach DMGS Kumara, Secretary of the TTASL Coaching Committee, alongside Sri Lanka's newly appointed ITTF Level 1 coaches. The event was further supervised by Ruhansi Wijekoon, Vice President of TTASL.
Meanwhile, TTASL will organize a special camp for coaches led by world-renowned table tennis coach Mario Genovese (Malta) on February 4 at the GIMA Indoor Stadium, Ambalangoda.
TTASL Development Committee Chairman Chandana Perera said the coaching camp, with the help of foreign coaches, is very important for local coaches to maintain their knowledge while also providing a good opportunity to take the sport to a to take it to a higher level.
