IK visitors: PTI submits a list to prison authorities – Pakistan

Islamabad: Salman Akram Raja, the secretary general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI), submitted an updated list of individuals to the authorities in Adiala prison on Tuesday, requesting the approval of the meeting with the founding president of the Imran Khan party twice a week.

This updated list was submitted to the prison authorities following directives from the High Court of Islamabad (IHC), which had asked the game to provide a list of people to visit Imran Khan.

The update list includes Salman Akram Raja himself, Azam Swati, Hamid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, Uzair Bhandari and Niyazullah Niazi, but the name of Babar Awans has been deleted.

As the secretary general of the PTI, I will not determine who may meet Imran Khan, said Raja when he asked him questions about the revised list.

One day ago, the IHC heard several petitions concerning the rights of visits granted to the former Prime Minister during his stay in Adiala prison.

The acting chief of the IHC, Sarfraz Dogar, ruled that Tuesdays and Thursdays would remain days designated for meetings with Imran Khan in Adiala prison.

However, the decision also imposed a restriction on media interactions, prohibiting party members or any other visitor to speak to the media after their meetings with Imran Khan.
